Detailed itinerary
This program is focused on wildlife observation, birding and rainforest interpretation. Activities may adjust according to weather, river conditions and wildlife activity.
Day 1
Cusco to Bamboo Lodge through the high Andes and cloud forest.
Day 2
Bamboo Lodge to Matsiguenka Lodge by road and boat through Boca Manu and Limonal Guard Station.
Day 3
Casa Matsiguenka: Salvador and Otorongo Lakes for otters, caimans, monkeys and birds.
Day 4
Parrot clay lick and Pakitza Guard Station for forest trails and river wildlife.
Day 5
Casa Matsiguenka to Manu Birding Lodge and tapir clay lick.
Day 6
Manu Birding Lodge to Puerto Maldonado; overnight in hotel.
Day 7
Early visit to Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick and airport transfer.
Day 8
Flexible extra day depending on flight program and logistics.
